Spanish 1A is a challenging high school level course that is an introduction to the study of the Spanish language and Hispanic culture.  In Spanish IA students will learn vocabulary and grammar.  Emphasis will be on developing proficiency in listening, speaking, reading and writing Spanish.  In addition, the students will study various aspects of Hispanic culture and geography.  The course will be conducted as much as possible in Spanish so that the students will become comfortable hearing and using basic forms of the language.
